Skilled Wound Care
Cookie Policy

1. What Cookies Are and Why We Use Them
This Cookie Policy explains how Skilled Wound Care ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on skilledwoundcare.com (the "Site"). It supplements our Privacy Policy. Effective date: November 2, 2026.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, and local storage. Together these let the Site function, remember your choices, measure how the Site is used, and show you relevant information about physician careers and facility partnerships on other platforms.
The Site is built on Wix. When you first visit, a consent banner (the fingerprint icon in the lower-left corner reopens it) lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
We do not use cookies to collect protected health information, and the Site is not used to deliver patient care.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties whose tools we use. These providers may receive information such as your IP address, device identifiers, and pages viewed, and use it under their own privacy policies:
Embedded content from social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube) may also set cookies when you interact with it.
4. How to Manage or Disable Cookies
You have three ways to control cookies on the Site:
-
Consent banner. Choose which categories to allow when you first visit. Change your choice at any time by clicking the fingerprint icon in the lower-left corner of any page.
-
Browser settings. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop forms and other parts of the Site from working. Instructions: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.
-
Provider opt-outs. Google Analytics opt-out add-on, Microsoft advertising opt-out, LinkedIn ad settings, and the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
The Site honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information, as California law requires. Because there is no industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, the Site does not otherwise respond to them.
6. California Residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA), the use of advertising cookies such as the LinkedIn Insight Tag and Microsoft Advertising tag may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money.
California residents may opt out of this sharing by declining marketing cookies in the consent banner, by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser, or by emailing info@skilledwoundcare.com. Our Privacy Policy describes your other California rights, including the right to know, delete, and correct.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove tools on the Site or when the law changes. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected in the consent banner.
